Designed by Bill Bowerman and released in 1972, the Nike Classic Cortez is Nike’s original running shoe. This update on a classic features a leather and synthetic-leather construction for added durability and the same vintage vibes.
Named after the Ancient Greek goddess of victory, Nike was actually founded as Blue Ribbon Sports in 1964. The giant of sneaker and streetwear culture came from humble beginnings, its now iconic swoosh was designed by a student for a mere $35 dollars. Known for it’s innovative technology, like the Air Max then and Flyknit now, as well as its incredibly sought-after silhouettes, there’s certainly something of a cult surrounding the brand.
